SUMMARY:A Beginner’s Guide to Agrochemical Formulation Strategies – Live Online Course
DESCRIPTION:April 14 – April 16 2026  \nNew AG Academy’s highly interactive 3-day course is delivered by iFormulate and explores key scientific and regulatory developments currently influencing agrochemical formulation strategies and will act as a broad introduction to the area. \nThrough a combination of theory and practical exercises\, you will examine current industry trends and navigate EU & US regulatory requirements for compliant formulations. You will assess the advantages and disadvantages of specific formulation strategies from initial development through to manufacturing and application of the final product. \nThis course is designed and delivered by iFormulate on behalf of the New AG International Academy from Informa Connect. \nThis course will next run in April 2026. The registration page will be available early in the New Year and if you are interested in being informed of when it is available please contact info@iFormulate.biz  \nFurther information

SUMMARY:Spray Drying and Atomisation of Formulations – 2026
DESCRIPTION:University of Leeds: 9th-11th June 2026\nAny good definition of formulation will include processing and how microstructure can be important to the functionality of a product. This can help to protect active ingredients to improve their stability and control their release. One of the most common ways to provide this microstructure is the use of spray drying and iFormulate has collaborated with the University of Leeds for over 10 years on their unique three-day Spray Drying and Atomisation of Formulations training course. The mix of lectures from academics and industrialists\, practical demonstrations and problem-solving sessions has always been well received. \nComments from previous delegates include \n“A great course for spray drying audience to learn the basic principles and beyond\, nicely prepared and provided materials and a good venue and learning climate” \nand \n“A unique one-of-a-kind course where academia and industry experts come together to discuss real life challenges in spray drying technology and possible theories to explain how these can be resolved”The course runs again between Tuesday 10 and Thursday 12 June and includes industrial talks from the likes of Syngenta\, Danone\, Procter &Gamble and Nestle to name but a few. \nThis University of Leeds course is supported by iFormulate Ltd. Past courses have been extremely popular so go straight to the University of Leeds Engineering CPD site to find out more information and register. \nDay one will focus on the theory of Spray Drying and Atomisation of Formulations and will include practical video demonstrations. On the second and third days\, a variety of speakers will show examples of how the science has been applied in industry. \nUpon completion of this course delegates will be able to: \n\nApply an understanding of how fluid properties\, rheology and atomisation performance can have an influence on spray drying.\nLearn how to manipulate drying parameters to influence product microstructure\, materials properties and quality parameters.\nGain an appreciation of the hazards involved in spray drying and how to ensure safe operation.\nLearn how spray drying processes can be scaled up and appreciate the possible pitfalls on scaling up.\nUnderstand how spray drying principles can be applied to the manufacture of real industrial formulated products for economic and better preforming processes as well as improved product performance and quality.\nGain an insight into how challenges are tackled across different industries.\nLearn how to choose and design appropriate equipment such as atomisers and towers for laboratory\, pilot and production-scale spray-drying.\n\nFind out more or register

SUMMARY:Formulation of Microbials for Agrochemical Applications
DESCRIPTION:Join the iFormulate Team for this training course exploring the increasingly popular topic of Formulation of Microbials for Agrochemical Applications. Following excellent feedback from the first edition of the course it will now run again over 2 afternoons UK time on September 15th and September 16th 2026. All attendees will receive a copy of all slides and a recording of each session \n\n\n\nThe course will cover the following: \n\n\n\nDay 1 \n\n\n\n\nMicrobials and their role in Agriculture\n\n\n\nFormulation Types commonly seen with Microbials\n\n\n\nRegulatory Framework\n\n\n\nFormulation of Gram Positive Bacteria\n\n\n\n\nDay 2 \n\n\n\n\nFormulation of Gram Negative Bacteria \n\n\n\nFormulation of Fungi \n\n\n\nFormulation Processes for Microbials\n\n\n\nCharacterisation of Microbial Formulations\n\n\n\nCo-Formulants and Adjuvants for Microbials\n\n\n\nThe Future \n\n\n\n\nFeedback\n\n\n\n“An engaging and well-organized course that helped me connect the dots from fundamental concepts to practical formulation strategies.” \n\n\n\n“A good introductory course for those beginning their journey in formulation\, offering a structured overview of key concepts and literature.” \n\n\n\nTrainers\n\n\n\n\n\nThe main trainers for the course will be the founders of iFormulate\, David Calvert and Jim Bullock. \n\n\n\nWe are delighted to be joined for the training by Dr Michael Fahrbach from Labcorp who will lead the section on the Regulatory Framework. Michael has more than 16 years experience working in CRO and 9 years in regulatory consultancy. He received his PhD from Aachen University and will provide invaluable advice to the attendees on how to navigate the regulatory landscape for microbials. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFEES \n\n\n\nEarly Bird Registration fee for companies based in the UK is £799 (£958.80 including VAT).
