Gilda graduated in Chemical Engineering at Universita’ degli studi di Bologna with a special interest in process engineering and food applications. Following a move to the UK, she studied at Loughborough University where she was awarded a PhD in Chemical Engineering. Her research focused on PLGA particle production for controlled release using membrane emulsification. Gilda started working at AM Technology in 2008 as product manager helping in the development of a novel flow reactor. In 2016, she joined Lucideon where her main activities cover research, process development and scale up of material technologies for the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
