Webinar Recording: Particle Engineering using Spray Drying and Fluid Beds

Formulators are often challenged to produce solid particulate products with precisely designed application properties. For instance granular products may need to flow easily and disperse quickly in water but must still be strong enough not to break down to a powder during storage or transport. At other times, particles with distinct internal structure are needed in order to encapsulate and delay the release of an active ingredient.

Using spray drying or fluid bed technologies are two popular ways of carrying out particle engineering in order to give us the solid product that we want. In our webinar we provide a brief overview of how these methods work and how they compare when you are looking to design the structure of your particles.

In the webinar, are joined once again by Professor David York of the University of Leeds and by iFormulate’s Dr Jim Bullock.
