As the Rheology, Particle Characterisation and high torque instrumentation Product Manager for Anton Paar in the UK and Ireland, my role is to support and develop projects aimed at better understanding the behaviour of ‘soft’ materials and influence of particle characteristics on handling, stability, and performance in a vast range of industries and interest groups. I originally studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Southampton and went on to work for Apple’s sales teams and B2B unit, before getting involved in the field of materials characterisation at the Centre for Industrial Rheology where I was responsible for technical sales, marketing and special projects.
Since 2017, I’ve worked on multiple projects from objectively evaluating sensory properties from topical creams in both the cosmetics industry and pharmaceutical industry to foodstuffs such as beer, whisky, French fries, pickles and even investigating methods for the performance of battery slurries. I’ve given dozens of talks over the year mainly focusing on topics concerning the application of rheology and particle characterisation in industry. More recently I’ve been working on high value lab automation projects, workflow and method optimisation.
