• Please contact us on info@iformulate.biz to make a provisional booking. There is no charge to do this and you can cancel a provisional booking at any time without penalty.
• The lifting of government COVID restrictions mean that this event can go as normal. The venue is advising that guests wear masks in the hotel but this is not policed and in any case would be difficult to implement for the full length of a highly interactive course. We are advised that the room currently booked for the course does not allow for social distancing. Attendees are of course free to wear masks if they wish.
• With this in mind it is of course important that, prior to the event, attendees reduce the risk to others by adhering to guidelines in force on coronavirus symptoms, testing and self-isolation. We strongly encourage attendees to get vaccinated if they are able to. The course lecturers are fully vaccinated and will take a number of lateral flow screening tests in the days leading up to the event.
• We will be following any changes to government or venue restrictions and guidelines and we will inform you of these two weeks prior to the training, as well as of any subsequent changes.
• If your company has its own restrictions regarding employee safe working please let us know what these are and we will let you know if these can be accommodated before we issue an invoice.
• Should the training not take place in-person due to any restrictions, then we will look to run either a live stream or on-line training and you will be given the opportunity to take part in this modified training – or be given a full refund.
• Invoices will be issued two weeks prior to event taking place with 7 day payment terms. If this in-person event is cancelled at short notice, we will offer options as above. You can also pay by credit card using PayPal button on this page. Refund policy as above.

FORMULATION: THE BASICS

Formulation is an essential value-adding step in the development and manufacture of a huge number of chemical-using products. For example, medicines, cosmetics, toiletries, foods, detergents, cleaners, paints, inks, agrochemicals and adhesives are all formulated products. “Formulation: The Basics” is a one day introduction to formulation – what it is, where it is done, its benefits as well as why and how it is done.

“Formulation: The Basics” was sold out when it was first run in 2018 and we received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the delegates.

WHO IS IT FOR?

“Formulation: The Basics” is especially suited to:

• Commercial, production, technical or administrative staff in any company involved in the formulation supply chain.
• Newcomers to R&D and production functions such as technicians, process operatives, QC and administrative staff.
• Students and academics from non-chemistry disciplines who are seeking an industrial context to formulation.
• Some basic scientific understanding will be helpful but is not essential. A chemistry degree is not required!

The Principal can be most easily reached via rail, York is on the east coast main line with fast rail connections to London and Edinburgh. The Principal York is located immediately adjacent to York’s railway station and is close to the centre of this historic city.

York can also easily reached by the road network  (A1(M) to A64, A59 or A19).
