Professor Steven Abbott has worked for many years in the coating/printing industry and was involved in formulation of nanocoatings and nanostructures for large-scale production. Now as an independent consultant he divides his time between writing free apps for formulators, consulting for industry and running his technical software business relating to coating, solubility, adhesion, barrier properties etc. His mission is to encapsulate the best scientific ideas into tools that formulators can use to solve real-world problems.
We are delighted that Steven will once again be the main course tutor for Practical Adhesion Science for Formulators on 1st December 2016. He will also present at our webinar on the same subject on 15th September. His contributions are always thought-provoking and often provocative. A flavour of Steven’s unique and highly effective approach to training can be found on his website, which includes descriptions of his web-based apps as well as many other resources.
Steven was also a tutor at iFormulate4Nano, held in Manchester in 2013 and has authored a number of books on subjects such as adhesion science and nanocoatings.
